Research Interest

Dr Hina Zahid graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, in 2006. She then did Pharm D (Condense course) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Karachi in 2012 and PhD in Pharmacognosy from the Faculty of Pharmacy, the University of Karachi in 2014. She worked as Quality Control Analyst at Tabros Pharma, Karachi, Pakistan in 2007. From 2015 to 2016 she gives her services as a Research Associate at the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical, University of Karachi. She worked as Assistant Professor at Hamdard University. She is an editorial member of Hamdard Medicus (2016). She has more than 5 years experience of in teaching including undergraduate and postgraduate students at Dow College of Pharmacy, DUHS from diverse backgrounds with sound knowledge of instructional and web technologies. Up till now, she has published 34 research publications in National and International impact factor Journals. She presented her research at National conferences through poster and oral presentations. She has received a Research fellowship award from the University of Karachi (2010), a Gold Medal from the Pakistan Society of Pharmacognosy for her research in the field of Pharmacognosy (2014), a Certificate of Excellence for outstanding Teaching performance at Dow College of Pharmacy, DUHS, by Quality Enhancement Cell (2019). She is also a co-author of two books with Prof Dr Ghazala H Rizwani (Meritorious), Standardization of Medicinal Herbs of Pakistan, Volume-I and Volume-II (2014 and 2015). In 2017, she published another book titled ‘A Hand Book of Microbiology (Viva-Voce)’.
