Master of Public Health (MPH)

Master of Science in Public Health (Social and Behavioral Sciences)

Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE)

Program Title Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE)
Program Duration 2.5 years
Degree Plan MBBS course involves training basic and clinical sciences encompassing all objectives related to cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains.

Eligibility Criteria
  • MBBS with one year house job.
  • BDS with one year house job.
  • 2 years teaching experience in a recognized Medical/ Dental College.
  • IELTS academic (6.5 band) / TOEFL (600 minimum on PBT, 100 minimum on iBT).
Criteria for Short Listing Candidates
  • Score of TOEFL/ IELTS
  • Written test results. Written test to be held in Karachi
  • Interview results; Applicants may sit for the interview in Karachi
  • Out-of-Pakistan applicants (Pakistani nationals or foreigners) may take the interview via Skype. The exact date and time may be decided based on mutual convenience.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Institute of Business and Health Management

Entry Requirement
  • 16-year Education or equivalent, (with minimum 50% marks),
  • IBHM Admission Test (with minimum 50% marks)
  • Selection Interview (satisfactory)
Internship Six to eight week supervised internship in an organization will be offered to complete MBA Project / Business project.
Degree Awarding CGPA Completion of the prescribed course work with the minimum degree awarding CGPA (2.5 out of 4.0).
Comprehensive Examination Satisfactory performance in the comprehensive examination to be taken after completion of the prescribed course work with the minimum degree awarding CGPA.
Exemptions and Credit Transfers Students having passed a Post-Graduate Diploma or Certificate Course(s) from IHM may claim credit transfer in the reciprocal course(s); provided that the total number of credit transfers does not exceed 50% of the total courses (11 of 22). Credit transfers may be allowed for the reciprocal courses (having same course code / Level, course title and course contents) passed with minimum B grade.

Masters of Business Administration – MBA Executive

  • IBHM Admission Test / NTS-GAT(with minimum 50% marks) – Selection Interview (satisfactory)
  • 4-Year Work experience
Degree Awarding CGPA Completion of the prescribed course work with the minimum degree awarding CGPA (2.5 out of 4.0).
Comprehensive Examination Satisfactory performance in the comprehensive examination to be taken after completion of the prescribed course work with the minimum degree awarding CGPA.

FCPS II

Program Title Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS)

Eligibility Criteria

Attested photocopies required:

  • FCPS-I pass letter
  • One year House Job Certificates
  • CNIC
  • Domicile
  • MBBS Degree
  • Valid PMDC Registration Certificate
  • RTMC Registration Certificate if previously registered

In addition to the above criteria, the following conditions may apply depending if the candidate is pursuing his/her career in any sub-specialty.

  • Candidates applying for any sub specialty must have completed two years mandatory training in the appropriate allied major subjects.
  • Candidates if want to join sub-specialty after completion of two years in the appropriate allied major subject must appeared in the entry test again.

Entry Test & Marking

  • The questions will be MCQ (Single best type) with No Negative marking.
  • In case of a tie regarding marks, Merit will be according to age with preference given to the elder candidate as per Sindh Government rule.

Interview and Selection

  • Interview call is not a guarantee for selection.
  • You are required to bring all relevant original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
  • After selection / assignment of teaching unit you will have to join the unit within 03 days. For government servants requiring deputation order, the joining period will be 15 days and all government employees should have a NOC from the government by the time of interview.
  • All candidates should ensure that joining report duly signed by Unit Chief, is submitted to Department of Postgraduate Studies within 03 days of the interview and at CPSP within one month.

Terms and Conditions

  • All candidates are required to produce pay order of Rs.25, 000/- in favor of “Dow University of Health Sciences”, at the time of interview (refundable after completion of training), the same will be forfeited by DUHS if candidate does not join/complete training for any reason.
  • Registration and Monitoring fee Rs. 25,000/- per year shall be charged.
  • Two months’ salary will be deducted in case the trainee left the FCPS-ll Program under any circumstances.
  • Placement order will be issued after completion of all formalities.
  • NO TA/DA will be given.
  • The University does not take responsibility for providing accommodation.
  • Entry test fee of Rs. 3,000/- submitted once cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
  • If a selected candidate requested to withdraw the admission on his / her reserved seat after submission of original documents a pay order of Rs. 5,000/- in favor of Dow University of Health Sciences will be charged as a penalty to return back his / her original documents.
  • Stipend will be paid as per rule, if any increase in stipend is announced by the government during the training period the same shall be applicable only when the University has received the grant for the same from the Government.

Master of Dental Sciences / Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) – DIKIOHS )
