With an imposing exterior, the Professor Muhammad Ali Shah Library Block is situated at the heart of Dow Medical College, and is built over an area of approximately 10,000 sq. ft. The newly renovated building is over three stories tall and has a well-stocked souvenir shop along with the Moin Auditorium on the ground floor.

The main library, with the reference section and the archive section is located on the first floor, with more than 20,000 books available, and a well-furnished reading room for the faculty and post graduate students. A separate reading room is built for the students on the second floor, fully air-conditioned, with another one under construction. The library is open from 08:30 hrs to 22:00 hours.
