The concept of four-handed dentistry has been given much importance with the development of improved care in clinical practice and has modernized and evolved in the past few years. This development has led to the discovery of the School of Dental Care Professionals. It is approved and recognized by Higher Education Commission Pakistan as a degree-awarding institute.

The School of Dental Care Professionals (SDCP) is equipped with all the modalities required for the course to impart knowledge and skills advancement. Laboratories and clinics of DIKIOHS are utilized as shared resources for clinical or laboratory exposure. Dental OPDs and Laboratories are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver standardized oral care. All the activities and learning processes are monitored and evaluated by the Quality Enhancement Cell.

The program consists of (8) eight semesters; each semester is six months. The first two are core course semesters conducted at the Dow Institute of Medical Technology (DIMT) DUHS through a shared teaching facility. Third semester and onwards, teaching and training are conducted at the School of Dental Care Professionals.

Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities and are proactive in the number of extracurricular activities. In total, 11 batches have graduated from the institute and are active in the field of research, academics, public health, and community health care delivery systems, including clinics, in addition to continuing education, this tremendous growth of the institute proves that it will flourish in future at a brisk rate to establish its fame in numerous fields.
