The Dow Skill Development Centre (DSDC) is a small yet fast growing entity at DUHS and we are honoured to be affiliated with the Dow University of Health Sciences, one of Pakistan's leading healthcare universities and healthcare providers. DSDC's works on two fronts, giving a uniquely diverse portfolio: to empower marginalised populations in the Dow University of Health Sciences Ojha Campus area, as well as DUHS healthcare practitioners. We aspire to address gaps in healthcare services and education by providing world-class training and contribute in our small way towards building a healthier, more prosperous Pakistan.

In addition to the continuous upskilling of DUHS healthcare practitioners in various crucial aspects like Digital Literacy and Soft Skills for Patient Care, our mission at DSDC is to empower the marginalised sectors of our community that live near the Dow University of Health Sciences Ojha Campus. We aim to close gaps in healthcare and education through our unwavering efforts, aligning ourselves with Pakistan's commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

We recognise our target demo graphic’s different demands, and it is our collective goal to serve those needs thoroughly. In 2022, DSDC initiated self-sustainable projects through enhance industrial collaborations. The first successful example of this was turning the defunct stitching & tailoring unit at the centre into an industry sponsored Textile Learning Factory (TLF) initiated in December 2022. This is a self-sustainable stitching & tailoring facility within the Ojha campus that imparts industry relevant skills to underprivileged persons, while also providing them job opportunities at the centre itself.

We think that through providing world-class training and upskilling opportunities, every individual has the capacity to significantly contribute to the healthcare industry and the nation's industrial growth. Our journey may not be easy, it is unquestionably gratifying and impactful.

DSDC invites youth and industry professionals from all walks of life to learn more about our many programmes and the many ways that you can contribute towards skill development by working with us. DSDC has something to offer you whether you are a healthcare practitioner seeking additional skills or an individual hoping to enter the healthcare profession.
