The Institute of Behavioral Sciences (IBS) is a non-profit organization established by eminent psychiatrist Prof Haroon Ahmed and renowned nuclear scientist and the national hero of the country, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.

The following are the policies for PG trainees:

  • PG trainees are only allowed 30 days leave in one calendar year, divided as 15 days in 6 months sessions, subject to approval in writing from your supervisor.
  • Female candidates may avail of 90 days of maternity leave (half stipend) during the course time. Still, this deficit period will have to be completed (with half pay) to be eligible for a grant of any experience certificate.
  • If availed, the period of excess leave will have to be completed (without pay) before the grant of any experience certificate.
  • Permission will have to be taken from the school of postgraduate studies before proceeding on rotation in any unit.

All the 4th year students and internees are strictly informed to mark their time in and time out daily and inform HR prior in case of leave.
