WORKSHOP : “FROM INSIGHT TO PRACTICE:

INTEGRATING SELF REGULATION INTO MEDICAL CARE”

A Workshop was organized at Dr. A.Q Khan Centre Institute of Behavioral Sciences Dow University of Health Sciences on a very impactful topic “Integrating Self-regulation into Medical Care”. The introductory remarks were delivered by Brig. Dr. Shoaib Ahmed SI (M) Rtd., the Executive Director of IBS-DUHS, and then taken event over by the organizers.

Often overlooked are the challenges of physical and mental stress that doctors and healthcare professionals face in their daily routines, and how these difficulties impact their well-being. The workshop aimed to focus on promoting self-regulation by addressing the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual aspects of life.

Following are the takeaways of the workshop:

1. Participants gained an enhanced understanding of self-regulatory patterns.

2. Equipped participants with valuable insights into their regulatory behavior.

3. Incorporation of interactive Q&A sessions for deeper comprehension.

4. Grounding techniques were introduced that are applicable to medical practices.

To foster self-analysis, participants were assigned pre-workshop and post-workshop questionnaire. The event itself was characterized by its energetic, engaging, and informative nature, which was enjoyed by both organizers and participants alike. The closing note of gratitude was delivered by our Senior Lecturer, Ms. Fatima Mir Muhammadi, concluding the event on a cheerful note.
