Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences (DIKIOHS) was established in the year 2006 for the enhancement of academic excellence, an increase of human resources, and the provision of excellent community health care.

Research

Research areas include:

  • 1. Biomarkers for early detection of premalignant lesions and oral cancer
  • 2. Saliva for diagnostic/therapeutic purposes for oral lesions
  • 3. Molecular pathology and genetics of oral carcinogenesis, oral mucosal lesions, odontogenic cysts & tumors, and bone disorders affecting maxilla & mandible, autoimmune diseases.
