I want to welcome you on behalf of the Institute of Medical Technology in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) program faculty and staff at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).

Do you enjoy solving riddles and puzzles or looking for hands-on action? If you like Crime Scene Investigation without commercials, then Clinical Laboratory Sciences is the profession for you.

70-80% of all medical decisions made in in-patient, out-patient, and doctors' offices are based on the precise results of clinical laboratory professionals in clinical diagnostic laboratories. Institute of Medical Technology, Dow University of Health Sciences, offers a Bachelor of Science program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The program curriculum is marked with guidelines provided by National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), USA. Moreover, the program also has a clinical component that prepares the graduate of the program, both theoretical and clinical, to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathology's (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC). The ASCP's BOC is the gold standard in global certification for clinical/medical laboratory professionals and has more than 560,000 BOC-certified professionals worldwide. The good news for students enrolling in the CLS program is the establishment of the office of ASCP in Lahore, Pakistan.

Hence the BOC exams are now being offered in the Lahore center. Furthermore, CLS graduates can also practice their profession in the United Kingdom by seeking to become HCPC registered with IBM's Certificate of Competence by Equivalence (Biomedical Scientist).
