Overview
The Department is located at the DIKIOHS (3rd floor of the DIMC building). The Department has state-of-the-art facilities, including dental OPD and a laboratory.
The Department deals with both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The main objective of the Prosthodontics department is to provide students with theoretical and clinical training to treat patients with missing natural teeth with different options (Partial denture, complete denture & implants).
In addition to regular lectures and practical classes, various teaching aids such as tutorials, presentations, and small group discussions are used to bring about a sense of competence and confidence among candidates. The assessment of undergraduate students is based on written examination, objective structured practical analysis (OSCE), and periodic internal evaluation.
The Department's faculty members are well-educated and highly skilled at teaching, edifying, and enlightening their students. The faculty has given them several growth opportunities and excel in their career and supported their research by providing access to the central research lab, clinical labs, and digital libraries.
