It is an honor to briefly introduce you to the Department of Periodontology and its work. The main objective of the Periodontology Department is to develop Professionals by imparting modern knowledge and techniques on Periodontics being used around the World. We aim to educate the students about the basics of Periodontology, learning on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal diseases. Students are also exposed to a variety of oral problems and carry out treatment like dental scaling and polishing, deep curettage, root planning, fluoride application, and also about the international Protocols for charting, classifying, and diagnosing diseases. The Periodontology Department provides periodontal care to the community where conditions of the gums and related soft tissues are diagnosed and treated accordingly.
