Overview
The daily routine work, which comprise of academic activities and dental OPD, in the department of oral medicine/oral diagnosis is managed by departmental team which consists of Faculty members, dental assistants, dental house officers (on rotation basis) and undergraduate third year students (on rotation basis).
A) Academic activities:
Oral medicine is a teaching subject in 3rd year BDS program. We have 50 undergraduate students. The students provided with:
- 1. Power point lectures
- 2. Recorded lectures through LMS
- 3. Videos will be shown in lectures
- 4. Handouts
- 5. Digital Library
B) Dental OPD:
We have 2 dental units in oral medicine room and 4 dental units for oral diagnosis as per PMC rules and regulations.
The patient daily outcome is almost 50 to 60 and we are also doing a weekly dental free camp every year.
We are also doing dental radiography of approx. 30 patients daily.
