It is an honor to lead the Department with enthusiastic, dedicated, highly trained, and qualified faculty & team members. The Department is highly robust in its functionality, including teaching and preparing the students of 3rd Year BDS at in-house camps and in outreach programs.

The Department is also at the forefront of providing different Research opportunities. I am privileged to be part of the Dow University of Health Sciences team to carry out the vision of delivering outstanding patient-centered education, training, and clinical care through our well-structured community and preventive dentistry curriculum.

We have an excellent team in the Department with a mix of senior and junior faculty members, including Dr Qaiser Ali Baig, the Associate Professor; Dr Mustafa Naseem, the Assistant Professor; and Senior Lecturers Dr Wajiha Anzar and Dr Maryam Panhwar.

These department members are qualified with postgraduate academic degrees and demonstrate skills of being an all-rounder in student teaching, conducting, managing, and coordinating other necessary activities such as state-of-the-art clinical and epidemiological dental research and community-based dental services through preventive and primary dental care.

I hope the Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry will flourish further. Shortly, we may be able to start masters and PhD level programs in the fields of Community and Preventive Dentistry.
