Orientation Day of New batch 2020

Orientation Day of Pharm D students (Morning and Evening Batch) at Dow College of Pharmacy was held on Friday 17, 2020, at Dow University of Health Sciences. Vice Chancellor, DUHS, Prof Said Qureshi, Principal, Prof Dr Sumbul Shamim, Dean, Prof Dr Noor Jahan graced the orientation day along with Faculty members of Dow College of Pharmacy. Prof Dr Sumbul Shamim urged the students to focus on education with absolute dedication and diligence. Prof Dr Noor Jahan felicitated the fresh entrants to the varsity.

Guest Lecture by Dr Tariq Mansoor

Department of Pharmacy Practice organized a lecture on “The Basic clinical concept of parenteral nutrition” on 20th January 2020 at Dow College of Pharmacy, DUHS. Principal, Prof Dr Sumbul Shamim, Dean, Prof Dr Noor Jahan, and Faculty members along with students attended the session. Dr Tariq Mansoor, Senior Incharge Pharmacy Department, University Hospital Sharjah, Sharjah, conducted a lecture. He is a certified nutrition support Pharmacist (BCNSP). Dr Tariq also trained at the world’s leading cancer-research institutes and the premier European Cancer Centre, Institute Gustave Roussy Grand in Paris France.

 He is a very active member of the JCIA accreditation process at UHS and chair of the P&T committee.

Industrial Visit to Herbion Pharma Pvt Ltd

An industrial visit to Herbion Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, was organized by the Department of Pharmacognosy, Dow College of Pharmacy, DUHS on 21st January 2020. Herbion all-natural remedies provide affective and safe relief, optimize immunity, and helps maintain a healthy system. The herbal and natural composition of Herbion products ensures that their usage is devoid of any side effects and post treatment complications.

Annual Sports Week 2020

Annual Sports Week 2020 of Dow University of Health Sciences was held from 3rd Feb to 8th Feb 2020, in which 13 different colleges and institutes of DUHS participated. The Vice-Chancellor of DUHS, Prof Mohammed Saeed Qureshi, officially marked the beginning of the sports week at the Sports Gymnasium, Ojha Campus. Different competitions were held, indoor as well as outdoor games including table tennis, squash, netball, throwball, cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, and many more. 

Prize Distribution Ceremony of Annual Sports 2020, Dow University of Health Sciences, held on Tuesday 18th January 2020 at Muin Auditorium, DMC Campus, Dow University of Health Sciences. Dean, Dow College of Pharmacy, Prof Dr Noor Jahan won the 50-meter female faculty race whereas the Female Badminton was won by Dow College of Pharmacy, DUHS. Girls of DCOP also won the title of Netball winners as well as Basketball. Sumbul Zehra was declared the Best female athlete and Hamza Mallick of DCOP won Mr DUHS.
