Department of General Medicine is one the most critical clinical subjects for diagnosing and managing clinical illness in patients with dental issues. For dental students, knowing basic knowledge of medicine is essential, which helps them prevent comorbid complications in their clinical practice. Unlike medical students who study medicine in their final year, the BDS curriculum covers almost the same syllabus as the 3rd year BDS. At DIKIOHS, we have designed a strategy whereby BDS students tend to learn the theory by conducting lectures and tutorials. They rotated to the clinical departments for clinical teaching by attending the different subspecialties of Dow University Hospital.
