Overview
Oral biology includes the study of hard and soft tissues. The fundamental subject of Oral biology consists of the following Oral Embryology, Oral Histology, Oral Physiology, and Dental Anatomy. The issue concerns histological studies of oral tissues, their gross anatomy, and genesis. Teaching methodology includes class lectures, tutorial sessions conducted in groups, and practical sessions that study tooth models, tooth wax carving, and ground sections of teeth for histology to be viewed under a microscope. A log book is maintained by all students, including activities relevant to oral biology practicals.
