Career Prospects
The BSN program leads to the ability to practice as a Registered Nurse. This degree program promotes integrated nursing knowledge, skills, and a professional attitude. Upon completion of this program, the graduating student is prepared to be a safe nurse, who will be able to provide comprehensive care at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels within hospitals and community settings.
The overall aim of the BSN program is to produce nurses that can apply a multidisciplinary approach to nursing practice as a result of an integrated educational approach. This program is intended to foster critical thinking, knowledge-based actions, and personal as well as professional development amongst nurses, to enable them to implement their knowledge and skills within the ever-changing context of health care.
Having a BSN degree provides different opportunities. Different career goals require theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Being a noble profession, it offers a variety of career pathways depending on the level of expertise, skill, knowledge, and experience. After completing their BSN, nurses can proceed towards their higher education or avail of job opportunities as registered nurses in different sectors including Government Hospitals, Nursing Institutions, NGOs, Nursing Homes, Orphanage Homes, Ambulatory Services, and Home Patient Care Jobs
A registered nurse can get different jobs including Staff Nurse, Community Health Nurse, Nursing Instructor, Head Nurse, Clinical Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, and Nursing Superintendent. Registered Nurses can also proceed toward higher education and attain a Master’s degree. A diverse set of specializations are available for them including a Master in Nursing, a Master in Public Health, an MBA in Hospital Management, and a Master of Health Administration, etc.
