Admission Criteria
1. CHPE: MBBS/BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by the PMC (BS/MS nursing/DPT Physiotherapy, Pharm D).
2. MHPE: MBBS with one year house job or BDS with one year house job. Two years teaching experience in a recognized Medical/Dental College. MANDATORY: IELTS academic (6.5 band)/TOEFL (600 minimum on PBT, 100 minimum on iBT); Criteria for short listing candidates: Acceptable score of TOEFL/IELTS, written test results, along with University based entrance test. Interview results; Applicants may sit for the interview in Karachi. For out-of-Pakistan applicants (Pakistani nationals or foreigners), they may take the interview via Skype.
Curriculum Overview

2. MHPE COURSE OVERVIEW: 2.5 years
The program is designed to be beneficial for clinicians and non-clinicians alike. It requires the participants to study for about two hours a day. The majority of the learning will be through distance education, where learning material will be sent by email. There will be two contact periods per year, each of which will be of maximum two weeks.
Instructional strategies during the contact periods, there will be different types of sessions; some lectures, group discussions, self-study periods and projects. Time will also be spent on formative and summative assessments.
Progress during the course- In each module, the participants will get assignments which have to be completed, preferably, within the time frame allotted. Learners will be informed of the minimum pass grade for each module with the study guide which they will receive before the start of that module. The contact periods will also be graded. Marks obtained during contact periods and from assignments will be combined to form the final result of every module. Candidates must obtain a 63% minimum in every module to be declared as pass.
