Overview


The respiratory and Critical Care Technology Program is one of the most versatile allied healthcare fields in today’s healthcare system. Respiratory and Critical Care Technologists evaluate, manage, rehabilitate, and educate patients with critical illnesses. Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) is among the pioneer university in Pakistan to establish a four years Bachelor of Science (BSMT) program in Respiratory and critical care technology. The department has a carefully designed curriculum that offers a wide range of knowledge based on respiratory courses, intensive care practices, hospital training, and research that meets international standards. Throughout the academic years, the students are placed in various clinical settings to apply the knowledge acquired and polish their technical skills. The undergraduate research project is a prerequisite for completing the program. Upon completing the bachelor’s program, DUHS offers six months of paid internship in the approved affiliated clinical sites.
